Workshop of Marie Curie Fellows |
The event, organised by the European Commission and CERN, is a continuation of a series of workshops for
raising awareness for Science and for Young Researchers
facilitating the interdisciplinary/intersectorial dissemination of knowledge
supporting the training and mobility of researchers throughout Europe
promoting scientific and technological excellence
The CERN workshop aims to
provide a showcase for modern physics research, its applications and related technologies
promote active participation of Marie Curie Fellows with exchange of ideas among fellows, established scientists and the European Commission
put ‘Scientists on Stage’ through communication with the Public and the Media
The workshop will take place on the 3rd and 4th of October at CERN, Geneva, at the Council Chamber (bldg. 503, 1-001). The programme will consist of 20 mins talks by present and former Marie-Curie fellows, as well as invited talks by established scientists (facilities for both transparency and powerpoint presentations will be available). A poster session will also be organised, while participants are encouraged to actively participate in the concluding plenary discussion.
A visit of the laboratory will take place on the morning of October 4.
